The 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time
If we let him, God will arrange conversions in our lives. Conversion is a grace. It is a gift from God. It’s his work and he does it well. There can be many conversions in our lives:
From no faith to faith
From weak faith to stronger faith
From a life lived outside of God’s order to a life lived in his order
If we allow God, he will arrange the conversions in our lives.
The greatest work of God’s power is to touch a human heart.
But, how do we get God to release that deeper recess of his power so more hearts will be touched and turn to him? Obedience…
God has chosen to limit himself to where we are, to our free decisions. He binds himself to depend a lot on us.
The more sin, the more rebellion, and the less prayer there is in our world, God can’t do much. The more prayer, the more conversion to him, the more he can do.
If God is waiting for something, before he releases a greater surge of his power, it’s the oneness we don’t have yet. God will work in power as his people are one people. Obedience produces unity.
Obedience is God’s way. It produces unity and allows him to work in the power that he wants to work in.
Obedience is key to the release of the power of God.
Are we ready to be committed to searching out, praying for, and working for the unity that God so much wants us to have?
